Word Wall Words: I, red
Poem: The Red Song
Author we are studying: Eric Carle
- Read the Mixed Up Chameleon and made a class book - If I could be any animal I would be...
- Read A House for Hermit Crab and made a tree map of when our birthdays were in our class.
- Made our Marvelous Me Book
- Practiced writing on whited boards the words "I' and "red" - we talked about tall letters and short letters
- Made a graph of the first letter in our name
- Made a graph of our favorite color
- Added our names to the word wall
- Talked about what writers need in their writers toolbox to make the a good writer

Math
- Started to practice subatizing
- Continued our attendance stick
- Learned how to play the Button Match Up game - you match them by attributes
- Learned how to play the Attribute Block Match Up game
- Explored math tubs
Science
We learned about different types of weather. We even went outside to view the weather. We also created our Weather Book and talked about how weather is a never ending cycle. We talked about what we can do and what to wear during the different seasons.
