Open House was such a huge success!  Thank you all for coming out to see their hard work!  I will be posting pictures soon of the great things we did!

 We have been reading books that all have connections!  We talked about the characters, setting and events in all of these Whishy-washy stories below. 

 This week we continued to talk about those things but we practiced retelling different stories focusing on each detail in the story and then talking about how we could combine them all into one statement.

In science we learned about recycling.  After snack on day we kept our trash and talked about which trash can we would put it in and why.  The regular trash can or the recycle basket.

Then we looked a different pictures and decided what was recyclable, what we could reuse and what we could reduce.

We made a tree map of the different types of things that can be recycled and then listed a few in each category.

In math we have been learning about the difference between a need and a want.

We also learned what income was and the difference between earned income and gift money.

Since our sight words this week were both part of word families we decided to talk about those two word families.  The -ing family and the -et family.  Below are the other words we came up with that belong in each family.

MJ had such a fun time with Skippy!  They went to the Disney Store together and hung out with all of MJ's snuggly friends!
