Word wall words: look, get, or, big
Poem: President's Day
Word family: -ay
This week we learned about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. We did fun activities about Abraham Lincoln. We also wrote in our journals and practiced having a character, setting and event. We had school pictures and a video conference with another school about farm animals. We played a game of tic-tac-toe against them and we won!!
In math we started working with money and learning what each side looks like on a coin and what the coins are called. We will soon learn how to count money! We played 3 different matching games. One was matching the front and the back of the coin, another matching the name and the coin and the last one was matching the amount to the coin.
In science we started working on our farm unit. We talked about what types of food come from cows, pigs, chickens, etc.
We went to library and view a video to promote our book fair coming up. We are so excited! Mrs. O'Hearn also came and did a lesson with us!
*The blog with be a little bare for this next week because we are starting all of our open house projects and we want them to all be a surprise! Therefore I don't want to spoil it! Keep checking it for reminders and Star of the Week! The weekend before Spring Break I will post all of our farm stuff! There will be lots to look forward too!

You never cease to amaze me, Punkin! Your blog looks great! Have fun tomorrow night and I'll see you at six.
