This week we started our Texas unit.

Poems of the week: T-E-X-A-S, 5 Little Cowboys

We talked about what state and city we live in.  We also learned our state flower, butterfly, bird, capital, and made our own Texas flags.  We did many fun activities of each!

In Math this week we learned about fractions. (1/2, 1/3, and 1/4)

We practiced making these fractions with playdoh and making a flipbook with food pictures cut up.

In Science we talked about the different kinds of what and what makes them different.  We also did an experiment to see how many water drops it would take to spill over on a penny and a quarter.

We also went to Library and Robertson Roundup this week!
