Customize a free scrapbook design This week in room 304: Word wall words: boy, girl, do, get Word family: -ake Poem: T-E-X-A-S We did 2 circle maps: The cowboy slept with his boots on so.... and The bluebonnets grew on the hill so...  The kids had to get creative and finish the sentence by using their imagination.  Then they went back and made a book page and illustrated their writing.  We also read The Legend of the Bluebonnet.  We made our own cowboys and cowgirls out of construction paper too! (pictures to come!) In math we reviewed addition and took a test to see how well we were progressing.  In science we talked about soil and we got to explore with our 5 senses.  We talked about different ways you can use it and what our favorite way was. We also had Celebration of Learning and our class got to participate in the hula hoop contest.  We WON and we got an extra recess!  Our Star of the Week is Bill but he went home sick before I got a picture of him.
