Sunflower Seeds

This week we introduced a new word family:-ad.  We also learned what expository writing was.  We write to tell why.  Some things we wrote about were why we like Spring, why we like ice cream and why we like our favorite color.  We also created a tree map of ROYGBIV. (all the colors of the rainbow)  We listed things that were those colors.
We took a benchmark test in math and learned about young and adult plants in science.  We got to plant our own sunflower seed on Friday!  They are growing a little bit everyday!

We made a T-chart of young and parent plants.

We also water colored our very own rainbow!  Then we wrote sentences for each color.
