We Did It! Our First Week of School!

1 Week Down!!!!

This week we learned all about our school and what kind of behaviors are appropriate.  We learned how our classroom is going to work and even made up classroom rules that we will follow!  We did some pretty awesome crafts such as making our own Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tree out of construction paper and stuck letters going up and down.  We also are in the process of creating our own Brown Bear, Brown Bear book and we painted our brown bears Friday using a q-tip to make dots on him.  Some other things we did were:

• practiced our handwriting of the letter "A" and our names
• introduced all of our folders and what each one was for
• learned the poem Jack Be Nimble and we got to jump over a candlestick!!
• learned how to make the numbers 1-5 with sayings that help us remember
• explored math tub
• sorted different items that could be recycled with Ms. Ragan's class
• met our 3rd grade book buddies on Friday
