We made an anchor chart of different things we can read. We talked about how we already read things and we didn't even realize it!
In writing we focused of different settings. On this anchor chart we sorted inside and outside settings. We also made another anchor chart of many more settings.
We learned all about fiction and non-fiction books. We talked about the characteristics of both and then on Friday we did a sort.
Thanks to Brayden's mom, Allison, for coming to speak with us this week about her college and career. She told us all about her current job and how hard work and dedication pays off.
Time for some literacy stations! Aubri is working on poetry station.

Test Time
We continued to work on our 5 senses this week and we drew one picture using our sight and another picture with our eyes closed to see how important sight is to us.
We also got to use our sense of taste. We learned that our tongue has 4 different types of tastes. (sweet, salty, bitter, sour)

On Friday we played a new game during Math Workshop called The Sum of Five. The first one to make 5 wins!
We also continued working on problem solving using story mats.
