I CAN...

Reading: I can understand why we read and listen to text.  I can listen and respond to questions.

Math: I can subitize numbers up to 5.  I can count a set of objects.

Writing: I can look and sound like a writer.  I can write my ideas.  I can share my writing with the class.

Science: I can record in my Science Journal, identify safety and investigate.  I can use Science tools correctly.

This week in Reading we made lots of anchor charts.  Who, what, why and where do we read.

Take a look at our book boxes!  We are gradually adding books and once we start Guided Reading they will have leveled text inside of these on their level that they can read.  Right now we just have "look books" which are books that we can't necessarily read but they are high interest books.

We are ALL writers no matter what level we are on!

Here are some tools we will use this year as we become AMAZING writers.

We came up with some expectations when our friends are sharing their writing pieces with the class.

 This week we learned about the word family -an.  We also came up with different words in that word family.

Our poem this week was Red.  We like to sing the poem to help us remember it easier.

We also talked about what Scientist do.

We started our Class Math Journal.  We do this so we can show each other different ways of working out the problem.
